It’s a pleasure to join the women and readers of Breath of Life Women’s Ministries. My name is Erin Bishop and I’m the founder and director of the Whatever Girls ministry. I’m based out of Spokane, Washington.

I stumbled through middle and high school making many poor decisions and not feeling like I really belonged anywhere. My hearts desire is for teen girls to know their true value and identity comes from Jesus. I knew if I didn’t do something radical and intentional to prepare my daughter for middle school and beyond, she could easily become another statistic.

Kids are engaging in sexual activities and experimenting with drugs and alcohol at a shocking rate and age. From bullying to girl drama to dating and pressures to perform and fit in, today’s kids have it rougher than ever- and no kid is immune. Kids need to know who Jesus says they are-not the kids at school, and, they need to know they are not alone when it comes to honoring God.

Moms (and Dads) need to be empowered to parent intentionally, instead of spur of the moment, and they need hope and encouragement for when they are discouraged and overwhelmed.

Ecclesiastes 4:11 (NIV) says “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.  A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”  There’s strength in numbers.  We are a group of like-minded intentional mothers and daughters who are committed to supporting and holding each other accountable to our faith and values throughout the teen years and beyond.

You can fellowship with us online at our web site (www.thewhatevergirls.com) and from there you can find us on Facebook and Twitter. We also have a private prayer moms prayer group on Facebook that you are welcome to join. It’s an authentic community where there’s no room for perfect images or shame. Only grace.

I work with moms across the country who want to start their own Whatever Girls group for their daughter. If this is something you are interested in doing, please go to my web site and contact me under “ask us”.

I’d like to invite you all to our first ever conference “Whatever Girls Live”. The conference is April 25-27, 2014 in Spokane. Registration is now open and I just know you’re going to love our topics and speaker line up. As a mom, I can appreciate just how expensive life is. I kept that in mind when developing the price for our conference admission.

You can get more information about our conference on my web site.

I would love for you to visit me on Facebook and tell me you’re coming from Breath of Life Women’s Ministries.
