“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
Isaiah 12:2 (ESV)
We all have those days when we tremble at the thought of facing another moment in our affliction.
Yet in that very moment we know that He is there.
The God who created us and watches over us desires greatly to fold His arms around us to pull us close into His embrace. To comfort us. To love us. To ease the pain of our suffering. Because He suffered for us, He knows everything we are feeling.
His tears fall just like ours do. John 11:35
His heart hurts just like ours does because He has felt loss and pain more bitter than we will have to taste. Mark 14:36
We need Him more today than ever before.
Rejoice today in the words of Matt Maher’s song Lord I Need You.
Lord, I come, I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
Without You I fall apart
You’re the One that guides my heart
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are, Lord, I am free
Holiness is Christ in me
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
Teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
And when I cannot stand I’ll fall on You
Jesus, You’re my hope and stay
Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
You’re my one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
